This Galafrey Dry Grown Pinot Noir is loved by critics. Period.
Deep garnet colour. It holds very interesting aromas of leather, mint, dried cherries, strawberries and dried herbs, almost to liquorice. The palate shows a medium body, dry and sinewy, with some tobacco and rose. There is simply no shortage of character.
The balance of acidity and sugar is excellent and the finish swirls endlessly. This is what 40 year old dry grown vines deliver.
Goes extremely well with Peking Duck! We tried it at Imperial Treasure Super Peking Duck and also at Yan Cantonese Restaurant (National Gallery) and we were blown away!
