The Dyslexia Association of Singapore (DAS) will be holding a Charity Golf and Dinner event at Tanah Merah Country Club on 23 May 2018, to raise much-needed funds for children with dyslexia from low-income families so that they can receive the education they deserve. More than 50% of our students receive a bursary and DAS needs to raise more than $1 million annually to support these children.
The Charity Golf and Dinner Event will be attended by Guest of Honour Mr Ong Ye Kung, Minister for Education (Higher Education and Skills) and Second Minister for Defence.
Wine Edens and the estates we represent are really excited to do our part for this great cause by putting up 4 truly exceptional museum collection wines for auction during the dinner. These wines are sourced directly from the personal cellars of the winemakers and principals during my recent trip to the Great Southern, hold deep personal meaning to them for many reasons and are no longer for sale in the primary markets. All proceeds will be donated to DAS.

ROCKCLIFFE CHARDONNAY 2011
"This wine won 5 trophies and 4 Gold medals ... a testament to the high-quality wines we make and one that places us onto one of the top estates in the region"
Dr. Steve Hall
Subtle aroma fragrances of nectarine
and white peach with a touch of lemon
Elegant structure combining stone fruits
with a creamy palate. Soft mineral acidity
gently finishes with fruit and oak fused
to a perfect mouth feel.
GALAFREY RESERVE CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2004
“A beautiful wine. Its elegant, its classic ...And its been aged for you here at the winery! "
A great depth of aromas comprising ripe,
sweet berries, plum fruits and oak
The palate is intense and elegant with
good length, showing complex sweet and
sour characters. This is testatment to the
very best barrels that are set aside to
produce an exceptional Reserve edition
POACHER'S RIDGE SHIRAZ 2007
“A museum collection ... one of three Gold medals we won in the exceptional year of 2007."
Complex and alluring bouquet showing
ripe plums, a hint of apricots, notes of
spice, herbs and French oak.
The palate holds great lift and appeal,
beautifully rich and round in the mouth
with plums, red fruits and apricot fruit
characters. A great medium-bodied
vibrancy and a lovely aromatic finish
thanks to the small amount of Viognier.
LA VIOLETTA LA CIORNIA SHIRAZ 2008
“It all felt a bit like alchemy, but the resulting wine surpassed my expectations ... the international acclaim this wine garnered instantly put La Violetta on the map as a garagista of serious intent”
Aromatically expressive and layered, with
floral and berry notes over complex,
savoury perfumes; charcuterie, woodland
spices, lavender, umami.
The depth of fruit is fully intact when
tasted in 2018, showing no signs of tiring.
There is the same harmony, balance and
length it showed as a young wine, and it
feels ready for the next ten years
